Monitoramento em tempo de execução : a construção de um módulo em Erlang para uma arquitetura orientada a serviços

Evidenciar e utilizar métricas adequadas são o que possibilita a obtenção dessas informações em tempo de execução do software. Quando agir, o que verificar, o que pode melhorar é uma parte crucial do contexto apresentado. Por esse motivo, este estudo apresentou um módulo em Erlang de monitoramento de sistemas em tempo de execução embasado em um mapeamento sistemático de métricas de monitoramento de sistemas computacionais em tempo de execução a fim de auxiliar na manutenibilidade de sistemas por meio de uma camada de visualização de software. O serviço de monitoramento foi utilizado nos sistemas da Universidade de Brasília a fim de analisar e avaliar os resultados obtidos neste trabalho.Monitoring runtime software has been used for fault detection, performance analysis, optimization, diagnosis and recovery. Evidence and proper metrics is what makes it possible to obtain this information in the software runtime. When to act, what to check, which can improve is a crucial part of the pop. For this reason, this study presented a module in Erlang for monitoring systems in execution time based on a systematic mapping of computational systems runtime monitoring metrics in order to assist in the maintenance of systems through a visualization layer software. The monitoring service was used with the systems of the University of Brasília in order to analyze and evaluate the results obtained in this work

Mezuro, evolução de software livre : da arquitetura à experiência do usuário

Monografia (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, Faculdade UnB Gama, Curso de Engenharia de Software, 2014.Este trabalho apresenta um estudo e as colaborações na evolução de uma plataforma para monitoramento de códigos-fonte chamada Mezuro. Essa plataforma é desenvolvida através de um projeto de software livre. Em sua concepção, foi pensada como um plugin de uma plataforma de redes sociais, o Noosfero. Com sua evolução, ou seja, sucessivas alterações e com o aumento em tamanho e funcionalidades, aumentou-se também a complexidade do Mezuro, assim como a dificuldade em mantê-la. A equipe de desenvolvimento decidiu então por evoluir essa ferramenta para um aplicação independente. Neste trabalho de conclusão de curso, discutimos as principais razões e motivações para a evolução dessa plataforma, assim como os impactos em sua arquitetura e nos seus requisitos de qualidade. Apresentamos também um relato das nossas colaborações nesse projeto de software livre. _____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis work presents a study and our collaboration on a source code monitoring platform called Mezuro. This platform is developed through an free software project. At the first moment, It was designed as Noosfero plugin, a social networking platform. However, with successive changes, increase of size, and features, Mezuro also have increased its complexity. The Mezuro development team have had problems to control its maintainability. In this degree monograph, we are discussing the main reasons and motivations to migrate Mezuro to a standalone platform, according to the Mezuro development analysis, as well as we discuss the impacts of that change on Mezuro architecture and its quality requirements. We also present a report of our collaboration on that free software project

How does a region react to different types of shocks? The case of a Brazilian T&C industrial region

Purpose (mandatory) This study aims to empirically investigate how an industrial region has reacted to different shocks - competitive, market, and environmental - through its economic subsystems - its firms, workers, and institutions - in a longitudinal perspective for the period 1985-2021.  Design/methodology/approach (mandatory) We used a mixed method approach applied to a case study of the Brazilian T&C industrial region. We used two data sources and two stages for data collection. The first stage involved documentary research and the second in-depth interviews. The analysis of qualitative data took place in two stages. In the first, we applied contente analysis, and in the second stage, we used the exploratory statistical technique of simple correspondence analysis and the categorical data. Findings (mandatory) The results provide evidence that different types of shock provoke different reactions. However, the shock-reaction relationship is invariable over time. We observed proportionality in the size of the shock and the regional actors involved in the regional response - firms, workers, and institutions. Originality/value (mandatory) We went a step further, presenting empirical research on the shock-reaction relationship using the ‘type of shock’ as a variable. This paper provides a holistic understanding of the factors behind regional resilience through insights into the role that resources, structures, institutions, and actors play in the regional response to distinct types of shocks, reaching four main conclusions

Waveguide-Based Antenna Arrays for 5G Networks

This work reports the development of two high-performance waveguide-based antenna arrays for 5G cellular networks, operating in the underutilized millimetre wave (mm-wave) frequency spectrum. Two different scenarios of mm-wave communications are proposed for illustrating the applicability of the proposed arrays, which provide specific radiation patterns, namely, 12 dBi gain omnidirectional coverage in the 28 GHz band and dual-band sectorial coverage using the 28 and 38 GHz bands with gain up to 15.6 dBi. Numerical and experimental results of the array reflection coefficient, radiation pattern, and gain have been shown in an excellent agreement
